Saskatoon Zoo and Forestry Farm Park

The Saskatoon Zoo features a collection of native North American species such as deer, bison, wolves, elk, and various waterfowl. The park also features a special children's zoo with creatures, displays and demonstrations oriented for the younger set. As well, there are train rides, a fishing pond, sports fields, and picnic areas in the summer. Cross-country ski trails are available in the winter months. The Saskatoon Zoo opened as the Forestry Farm Animal Park on August 31st, 1972.

Kinsmen Park

Kinsmen Park is located in the downtown core adjacent to Saskatoon City Hospital. The park is connected to the Meewasin Trail system and also is home to the Mendel Art Gallery, Kinsmen Park rides and Kinsmen Play Village. Summertime amenities include ball diamonds, picnic areas, playground with paddling pool and in the winter 2 kilometres of cross-country ski trails are available.
