The Broadway BridgeThe Broadway Bridge spans the South Saskatchewan River, connecting Nutana with downtown Saskatoon between 19th Street East and Broadway Avenue. The Broadway Bridge was constructed to provide a make-work project for men on relief during the Great Depression.The bridge was officially opened on November 11th, 1932. |
The Victoria BridgeThe Victoria Bridge, also known as the "Traffic Bridge" and sometimes called the "Old Iron Bridge", was the first bridge built especially for vehicular traffic. Officially opened on October 7th, 1907, the bridge connects Victoria Avenue on the east side of the city to 3rd Avenue downtown on the west side of Saskatoon. |
